I am saved by grace and because I believe in the true healer and forgiver, Jesus Christ. I have been married to a wonderful, gentle, respectful, handsome, and loving man for almost 4 years. We have a cute little doggie named Ranger who is happy all the time and stinks a little.

James' Birthday Weekend!

When I went to find a picture of James (without the strange hat) the only thing that I came across was this picture which reminds me a lot of him. Little does he know, in 3 hours he will opening a DIGITAL CAMERA! We will begin showing many more pictures of us after tonight! He has wanted one for about two years now. I have made him wait and wait and wait... Now as long as he doesn't check my blog we should be okay with the surprise. I know we will be okay, because he never checks it. He thinks I am kind of silly sometimes with this blog. Anyway, Happy Memorial Day and James Birthday Weekend! I can't wait to post our first updated picture! It's kind of a gift for both of us. But don't tell him that either.

Let's Talk About James!

Thursday James went to a Vineyard conference up in Kansas City. He ran into Benny from KC North. James asked him if we were going to have lame summer camp shirts this year. Benny said they would be unless James wanted to come up with a design by the next day. James did his magic of course and designed a really cool shirt. Of course I can't reveal it to you yet! I don't want to spoil the unveiling for the students that blog along with us. Travis, you will just have to wait!

We have our BBQ and fireworks show to go to tonight, so I must go get my party planning thing on! Love you all!

My Baby! Yes, it's Ranger!

After reading about everyones day and seeing how busy your kids keep you, I thought I would share the joys of my dog. Yes, he is MY baby. He is far from the work all of you go through with your real children, but I am trying to fit in here. Here is a picture of Ranger really wanting to come in but James won't let him.

Let me tell you about a day at my work. Okay, it usually starts with answering my phone messages (there is usually at least 10). Then I move into my email which there could be up to 15 new messages. Throughout the day, many people come into my office with concerns dealing with the basics of due dates and can range to children in crisis' which my staff are seeking assistance on. Now that I have gotten through all my messages, I receive about triple the amount in phone calls and additional emails throughout the day. Down the hall I hear my co-workers cussing at each other saying things I so wish weren't in our vocabulary. When the day is over, I can know that God has me here to be a light and I can go home knowing that His purpose is perfect and He will take care of the next day. I love my job!

Sometimes I feel so out of place with what I do and that most of you stay at home and work with your children. I feel inadequate but them I remember the peace of being where I should be and that is right here. Thank you Jesus that we all are needed in our uniqueness.

Here They Are!

My Very Own Cool, Hip Business Cards Are In!

I really wish I could show you my new toy. My business cards! Is that sad or what. I would have to say that I can be pretty cheap sometimes so when my new toy is a 1x2 card that I didn't even purchace with my owm money, I can admit I need to enlarge my wallet just a little. While I am taking about recent toys, James did finally get his lawn mower. So for those of you who have manipulated me, gave me a guilt trip, and pressured me, you have won! Along with James, you have won!

Just breathe!

Today is a day of breathing... Ah, I can sit back and know, I don't have to do anything. Being a pastor's wife, I have come to the realization that my time doesn't belong to me now. It is definitely Jesus'. I completely enjoy being in ministry, I just neeed to breathe every now and then. Today, I went and saw my grandma in the nursery home to wish her a happy birthday. She is 78. Last year I didn't know if she would be around for a first great grandchild. Thankfully she is doing so much better, so if I could get James on the go with this baby thing, it might happen afterall. That's my little fun discussion lately. It is so funny seeing his face get red when I try to get him to talk about this great step in our lives. It will happen, I hope! I am talking like it is just around the corner, who knows.

The Wichita Riverfest is coming up and our traditional barbeque for the firework night just won't be the same this year. With Travis and Jennette gone we will just have to do it without them. Yes, we can do it! We will recover! I love you all and have a great week.

Mountain Lovers

This is the most recent fun picture we have of each other. We love the mountains!

Excited to be like my friends!

It might take me a while to figure this blog thing out. But it is so fun, that I will try. I saw how communicating has changed and I would like to be a part of this new communication method. Sometimes I feel so far away from others because of the business and chaos of life. This a perfect way to connect in to people so close but yet so far away.
